The first class, admitted in 1989-90, was featured in the anniversary
program. Ten of the sixteen "originals" was present. Each spoke
for a few minutes about their greatest challenge.

Spring 2000 COMMENCEMENT
The School of Social Sciences and Interdisciplinary Studies' commencement
will be

WRITING PROBLEMS PLAGUING YOU?
Research and Graduate Studies and the Graduate Center are again
sponsoring expanded hours at the Writing Center (Calaveras Hall 128, 278-6356)
for tutoring time for graduate students. This service will be available
for the whole academic year. Students can call the Writing Center and
make an appointment for assistance with their writing. The Center is open
expanded evening hours to accommodate graduate students.
Writer's block: A Support Group for Thesis Students
