C-Sus is the flagship live-performance vocal jazz ensemble at Sacramento State in 2008-09. This highly select ensemble was awarded a Down Beat Student Music Award for Outstanding Performance in 2005, and the group was a co-winner of the DB award for Best Collegiate Vocal Jazz Group in the USA and Canada in 2006 (sharing the award with the Sac State Jazz Singers).

  C-Sus was invited to perform at the 2006 convention of the International Association for Jazz Education in New York. This group performs several times a semester, including outreach trips to schools, and also records in Sac State's on-campus studio every year. The group can be heard on the CD 'In the Winelight', along with the Jazz Singers, and is the featured ensemble on 'It's You', released in 2006. C-Sus strives to perform at a professional level and to represent the program with integrity and the highest standard of excellence.
