Nursing program seeks community service projects
The division of nursing at California
State University, Sacramento is once again accepting community
service project proposals from health agencies and service
groups.
Projects accepted by the division will be carried out by senior
nursing students, who must complete the work to earn their
degrees. Over the course of a year, groups of CSUS students
develop, implement and evaluate as many as two dozen projects.
Recent work has included a survey of pregnant homeless women,
booklets on breastfeeding and sex education, and a child safety
awareness fair. Any health related project that provides students
with practical experience in planning and implementing a health
related project in the community may be considered.
Project ideas will be accepted through the end of January.
