offers global tour of Rodgers and Hammerstein A
musical round-the-world journey through the music of Rodgers and Hammerstein is
the theme of "Simply Enchanting," the California State University, Sacramento
Theatre Alumni Chapter's spring fundraiser. The original musical revue will be
performed at 8 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 8, and 2 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 9 in the University
Theatre.
Favorite tunes from South Pacific, Oklahoma, The Sound of Music
and The King and I, will take the audience on a world tour from the Austrian
Alps to the Midwest to Siam to "Bali Ha'i". It features Georgia B. Larson,
Claudia Kitka, and Bradley Moates and is directed by Robert Smart. It was conceived
and written by Georgia B. Larson with music arranged and performed by Carole Delaney.
A
$15 donation, $5 for students, is requested. Proceeds benefit the Gerard A. Larson
Memorial Endowment and Scholarship Fund.
