23, 2003 CSUS
freshmen application deadline is Feb. 1 Because
of unprecedented demand for admission, California State University, Sacramento
has established Feb. 1, 2003 as the freshman application deadline for fall 2003.
The CSU system historically has had a Nov. 30 deadline, but campuses have been
able to extend that as space was available.
The Feb. 1 deadline also applies
to new students seeking a second bachelor's degree and unclassified graduate students.
On Jan. 6, CSUS stopped accepting applications from lower division transfer students,
those with fewer than 56 transferable semester units.
Applicants who miss
these deadlines may apply for the spring 2004 semester during the priority filing
period of Aug. 1-30.
Applications for fall 2003 are still being considered
for upper division transfer students (those with 56 or more transferable semester
units), graduate students seeking admission to master's degree programs and teacher
credential applicants. These students are encouraged to apply as soon as possible
because the University anticipates the filing cutoff will be earlier than last
year.
