Sacramento State is among the sponsors of a panel discussion of Big Daddy: Jesse Unruh and the Art of Power Politics, a new biography of the legendary 1960s Assembly speaker, authored by Bill Boyarsky. The discussion begins at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 30, at the California Museum for History, Women & the Arts, 1020 O Street, Sacramento.
Panelists Bill Hauck, Bob Connelly, Tony Quinn and Dion Aroner, and moderator Greg Lucas will ponder Unruh’s legacy, comparing the Capitol of his era with today’s. A reception honoring Boyarsky will follow.
