Got a story to tell? Capital Public Radio can help you share it. StoryCorps, a national oral history project co-sponsored by National Public Radio and the Library of Congress, will visit Sacramento in the spring. Sacramento residents will be able to tell their personal stories and have them recorded for their families and future generations to hear.
Participants will be scheduled for a recording session and will receive a free CD of the interview. A copy of the interview will be archived at the American Folklife Center at the Library of Congress.
Since 2003, almost 30,000 people have shared life stories through the program.
CPR and StoryCorps will provide more information at a community meeting, 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 30 in the Sacramento State Alumni Center. Contact Paulette Bruce at 498-9804 to RSVP.
