Tom DeLuca casts a spell at CSUS
For
the past two decades, Tom DeLuca has held audiences at California
State University, Sacramento under his hypnotic control. He'll
be back to cast another spell at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 28 in the
University Union Ballroom.
Formerly a clinical hypnotist, DeLuca now performs at colleges
and universities throughout the nation. During his interactive
show, he'll take volunteers from the audience, hypnotize them,
and then turn them loose to follow his outrageous suggestions.
In past shows, volunteers have "gone fishing," become
cartoon characters, imitated aliens, and regressed to their
childhood to sing television theme songs.
DeLuca has been featured on several television talk shows,
on the cover of the Wall Street Journal, and both in
People and Rolling Stone magazines. He has been
ranked in Newsweek's top-ten list of nationwide college
comedy/variety arts acts, and voted "Campus Entertainer
of the Year" several times by the National Association
for Campus Activities.
Sponsored by UNIQUE, tickets are $7 for CSUS students and
$10 for general admission. Tickets are available at the CSUS
Central Ticket Office at (916) 278-4323. For more information
about DeLuca, call (916) 278-6997. Media assistance is available
by calling the CSUS public affairs office at (916) 278-6156.
