Forums to educate older community members
California
State University, Sacramento’s Life Center, a health and wellness
organization designed for older adults, has planned several forums
led by University faculty and other community experts. All talks are
held from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in the dining room of University’s
Julia Morgan House and Gardens, located at 3731 T Street in Sacramento.
On Friday, Feb. 13, kinesiology and health science professor Patty
Woodward will discuss how aging can affect the physical and psychological
aspects of men’s and women’s sexuality.
Criminal justice professor Midge Marino will share information on personal
safety during the Friday, March 12 lecture. She will also demonstrate
self-defense techniques.
Elder fraud is the topic on Friday, April 16. Professor Roger Davis
will reveal ways to gain protection from criminals trying to steal
money.
On Friday, May 14, nutrition expert Bronwyn Schweigerdt will talk about
a weight- loss plan designed to produce significant results over time.
