CSUS government experts offer election forums
Nationally
known experts in local, state and national politics will be part of two
election forums hosted by the government department at California State
University, Sacramento.
Interested voters can gear up for the upcoming election by attending a
free voter-information event at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 25 in the University
Union Foothill Suite. The forum will feature non-partisan information on
ballot measures and their fiscal and budgetary implications, in addition
to literature from various local and statewide campaigns. Attendees are
encouraged to bring their voter-information pamphlets and sample ballots.
The government department will also host a free election-night event from 5:30
p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 2 in the University Union Redwood Room. A panel
of CSUS professors will discuss live election returns and a moderator will facilitate
audience questions and comments. Refreshments will be served.
Both events are open to the public. For more information, contact Kimberly Love
Nalder, CSUS government professor, at (916) 278-6693. For media information,
contact the CSUS public affairs office at (916) 278-6156.
