The Men’s Chorus is one of Sac State’s three choral groups performing for “Music of the Spheres.”
Sacramento State’s choral groups will celebrate music from around the world in their next concert, “Music of the Spheres.” Join conductor Donald Kendrick and the California State choirs for this performance at 8 p.m., Saturday, March 8 in Sacred Heart Church on the corner of 39th and J streets.
The evening will feature the Men’s Chamber Choir, Concert Choir and the University Chorus in a celebration of international choral works. The program will include works by Veljo Tormis, Francis Poulenc, Eric Whitacre, R. Murray Schafer and J.S. Bach.
Songs will be performed in Russian, Inuit, Latin and German, and the choirs will present several pieces that have not been heard in the region before.
