Panel looks back at Iraq War

A group of faculty experts from California State University, Sacramento will discuss the Iraq War and its consequences at a special panel from noon to 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 23 in the University Union Hinde Auditorium.

The free public event is titled “The Iraq War: A Year Later,” and will include four CSUS faculty members and be moderated by graduate student Josh Leon. The faculty and their topics will be:

• Government professor Patrick G. Cannon, “In Whose Interest? Assessing the Reconstruction of Iraq”
• Government professor William Dorman, “The News Media and Iraq Since War’s ‘End’”
• Government professor Buzz Fouzouni, “The Iraq War and U.S. Anti-Terror Strategy: A Preliminary Assessment”
• History professor Joseph A. Palermo, “Neo-Cons and the Bush Administration: An Unsanitized Look at the War in Iraq.”
