Game show champ challenges Sacramento

Ken Jennings, the “Jeopardy!” contestant who was catapulted to fame after making game show history as its all-time champion, will come to Sacramento State to present his talk “Living Your Life as a Question.” The event will take place at 7:30 p.m. on April 15 in the University Union Ballroom.

Jennings will discuss his experiences as a contestant and answer questions from the audience. There will also be a “Jeopardy!”-style competition pitting Jennings against the top member of the Sacramento State College Bowl team and a current or emeritus faculty member. The event is part of April’s Alumni Month activities.

Jennings appeared on the popular game show more than 70 times, answering 2,700 questions and earning a record $2.35 million during his unprecedented winning streak. “Jeopardy!” is currently broadcasting an “Ultimate Tournament of Champions” to determine which two players will compete against Jennings for the finals in May.
