Campus events promote and celebrate cultural unity

California State University, Sacramento is hosting the Unity Celebration April 14 and 15 in the University Union. The event is designed to build awareness and understanding between the diverse populations that make up the campus community. All workshops, shows, and concerts are free.

From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Thurs. April 15 in the Union’s Ballroom, organizers will offer workshops to discuss unity-building among students. The seminars are designed to begin dialogue about relations between the races, religions, cultures and genders on campus.

From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Fri., April 16 in Serna Plaza, performances will include musical groups playing music including reggae, rock, jazz, and hip-hop. An Aztec ensemble is scheduled to dance. Student organizations will also set up information booths.
