Sacramento State faculty honored
for outstanding teaching, service

California State University, Sacramento has named its 2004-05 Outstanding Teaching and Outstanding University Service Award recipients. They will be honored at 3 p.m. on April 26 in the Alumni Center. The awards recognize faculty excellence in teaching and service to the campus community.

The Outstanding Teaching Awards Program is designed to recognize outstanding teachers among the faculty. This year's recipients are:

• College of Arts and Letters: Joshua McKinney, English
• College of Business Administration: Chris Sablynski, Organizational Behavior and Environment
• College of Education: John McFadden, Bilingual and Multicultural Education
• College of Engineering and Computer Science: Martin Meyers, Computer Science
• College of Health and Human Services: Celeste Roseberry-McKibben, Speech Pathology and Audiology
• College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics: Jennifer Lundmark, Biological Sciences
• College of Social Sciences and Interdisciplinary Studies: Robert Jensen, Psychology

The Outstanding University Service Awards Program is designed to recognize the importance of faculty service through leadership and involvement at the University. This year's recipients are:

• College of Arts and Letters: Joan Bauerly, English
• College of Education: Harold Murai, Bilingual and Multicultural Education
• College of Engineering and Computer Science: Ronald Becker, Electrical and Electronic Engineering
• College of Health and Human Services: Sue Cote, Criminal Justice
• College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics: Juanita Barrena, Biological Sciences
• College of Social Sciences and Interdisciplinary Studies: David Leon, Ethnic Studies

At the event, all award recipients will be presented a personal plaque and be acknowledged on plaques displayed in the office of the dean of each College.
