Hypnotist
holds campus spellbound
Hypnotist
Tom DeLuca gives new meaning to the phrase “captive audience”
at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 24 in California State University,
Sacramento’s University Union Ballroom.
For
twenty years, DeLuca has held students at CSUS and universities
across the country under his hypnotic control. DeLuca, a former
clinical hypnotist, mixes humor, improvisation, thought projection
and audience participation in his award-winning show.
Under his hypnotic guidance, DeLuca prompts audience volunteers
to behave like cartoon characters, imitate aliens and regress to
the age of five to sing television theme songs from their childhoods,
among other stunts.
DeLuca has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, as
well as People and Rolling Stone. He has been
ranked in Newsweek’s top-ten college variety acts and been
voted “Campus Entertainer of the Year” several times
by the National Association for Campus Activities.
Tickets are $10 general admission and $7 for students. Tickets are
available at the CSUS Ticket Office at (916) 278-4323 and at www.tickets.com.
For media assistance, contact CSUS public affairs at (916) 278-6156.
