Sacramento State is hosting a pair of free public viewing
nights at the campus observatory. The viewings—at 9 p.m. on Friday, April
28 and Friday, May 5 on the roof of Amador Hall—will be led by physics
and astronomy professor Christopher Taylor.
The viewing will be preceded at 8 p.m. by a talk on Taylor’s research,
"Galaxy Formation in a Cosmic Blender: Tidal Dwarf Galaxies and Molecular
Gas in Stephan's Quintet," in Mendocino Hall 1015.
In the event of rain or clouds, the viewings will be cancelled, but the talks
will still be held.
For more information, contact Taylor at (916) 278-5828. Media assistance is
available by contacting the Sacramento State public affairs office at (916)
