Comedians Light Up the Night at CSUS
Sacramento-based comedian Jack Gallagher,
one of the top nightclub entertainers in the United States,
headlines this year's free annual "Stars Under the Stars"
outdoor comedy show at California State University, Sacramento.
The event takes place on Thursday, April 26, at 7:30 p.m.,
at Joe Serna Jr. Plaza next to the University Union.
Gallagher's numerous television credits include his own ABC
sitcom "Bringing Up Jack," "Cheers" and
regular appearances on "The Tonight Show." He also
hosts the televised production of the California Lottery's
"The Big Spin" and the popular PBS series "Money
Matters." His screen credits include the feature films
Shakes the Clown with Bobcat Goldthwait and Heartbreak Ridge
with Clint Eastwood. Sacramento audiences are particularly
familiar with him through his comedic turns as the spokesperson
for Crystal Ice Cream and through his critically acclaimed
one-man theatrical show Letters to Declan.
"Stars Under the Stars" also features two other
outstanding comedians. Alan Gordon who has wowed audiences
with his musical comedy - inspired by the likes of Weird Al
and Adam Sandler - at the Riviera Comedy Club in Las Vegas,
the Comedy Store in Hollywood and colleges throughout the
country. Karen Anderson has performed at many major comedy
clubs and appears regularly on Comedy Central, Fox, Lifetime,
VH-1, and A&E.
