Los Lobos Rocks CSUS
Three-time Grammy-winners Los Lobos will
shake up California State University, Sacramento with its
legendary Latin rock sound at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, May 3.
The concert, held in the CSUS University Union Ballroom, will
also feature Northern California's own all-female mariachi
group - Mariachi Femenil Las Aguilas - and the Latino inspired
guitars rhythms of Rondalla Sentimiento Romantico.
Los Lobos has been recording critically acclaimed albums and
film soundtracks for nearly 25 years and the band continues
to break ground in both Spanish and English-language music,
effortlessly crossing cultural and language divides.
David Hidalgo, Cesar Rosas, Louie Perez, and Conrad Lozano
are all founding members of the band that was formed in the
early 1970s. Steve Berlin and Victor Bissetti were added several
years later.
Later this month, Los Lobos will receive a lifetime achievement
award from Billboard magazine at the Latin Music Awards. The
Billboard Latin Music Awards will be held at the Jackie Gleason
Theater in Miami on April 26th and will be broadcast on April
29th on the Telemundo Network.
Tickets for the CSUS concert are $18 general admission and
