Dancers invite the community to Experience This!

California State University, Sacramento’s graduating dance students and Jazzee Dance Company are presenting Experience This!, an eclectic collection of ballet, modern and jazz dance forms. Performances are 8 p.m., Wednesday, May 5 through Sunday, May 9 in Dancespace, Solano Hall 1010.

The event features five pieces choreographed and performed by students exploring topics including faith, bonding experiences between friends, and the emotional struggle one goes through at the end of a relationship. The creators state that the dances promise a variety of styles with lifts, props, and a mix of traditional and innovative movements. This is the final performance that creative director Dale Scholl will organize. She is retiring after 27 years at CSUS.

Tickets are $16 general admission, $13 for seniors and off-campus students, $12 for CSUS students, and $8 for children under 12-years-old. Tickets can be purchased through the CSUS box office at (916) 278-4323 or online through tickets.com.
