CSUS choirs celebrate timeless music
Professor Donald Kendrick and the California
State University, Sacramento choirs are busy preparing for
an upcoming tour to Canada, but they have managed to plan
a Sacramento send-off concert at 8 p.m., Saturday, May 18.
"Sounds Eternal," a program celebrating the diverse
nature of choral music, is at St. Ignatius Church located
at 3235 Arden Way near Watt Avenue.
The CSUS Concert Choir will perform works from the Americas
and the CSUS University Chorus will perform Eric Whitacre's
"Cloudburst" and Pachelbel's "Magnificant in
B." The Chamber Choir will present Canadian and European
works which they will also perform during their tour to Seattle
and throughout Canada.
Tickets prices are a suggested donation of $5 -10 and available
at the CSUS Ticket Office at (916) 278-4323. For more information
