Campus police engage in critical incident training

Sacramento State University Police will host an active shooter “train the trainer” instructor course 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., May 6-8 in the University Transportation and Parking Services Conference Room. 

The course will train campus police officers, school resource officers and school safety coordinators and directors in alternative strategies and techniques necessary should their institution become involved in a response incident. It will also teach them skills to conduct critical incident training at their home institution.

The course is being conducted by the security training company Response Options from Burleson Texas. Credentialed reporters are welcome to observe training.
