Sacramento State's alumni will be the center of attention in Kadema Hall's Else Gallery this summer as the Alumni Association's Art Chapter presents the seventh annual Chapter Annual Membership Show.

CAMS-7 will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., June 2-26. A reception will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, June 6.

This is a juried exhibition of work by University alumni and will be judged this year by sculpture professor Robert Ortbal. The work reflects the maturity of the alumni artists, says chapter president Florence Jones.

The show is comprised of 15 pieces, covering a variety of media. Artists include Caprice Cannon, Simona Hernandez, Nanette H. Roe, Joy Bertinuson, Florence M. Jones, Karen Bearson, Patricia Mills, Mary Cole and Michael Raferty.

About 100 former Sacramento State students belong to the chapter, which has hosted art-related films and receptions for renowned artists, and conducts off-campus outreach efforts. “Not everyone in the chapter is an artist but everyone is interested in the arts,” Jones says.

The CAMS-7 exhibition and reception are free and no reservations are necessary. For more information, contact Jones at or (916) 967-3686. For media assistance call Sacramento State’s Public Affairs office at (916) 278-6156.
