Conflict resolution training available
The Center for African Peace and Conflict
Resolution at California State University, Sacramento will
hold its annual Summer Workshop on Conflict Resolution June
17-21 on campus.
The workshop trains participants in various negotiation and
mediation techniques, as well as conflict assessment and problem
solving skills. Special emphasis will be given to inter-group,
interpersonal, commercial, community and public policy disputes
and youth conflict mediation. It will feature practical exercise,
short lectures and role-playing.
The trainers are criminal justice professor and center director
Ernest Uwazie, community and youth mediator Thelma Johnson
and alternative dispute and judge and conflict resolution
expert Daniel Yamshon.
Tuition is $500, or $520 if paid with a credit card. Registration
