Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger made a one-hour stop at Sacramento State Wednesday
morning (May 31) for a discussion with a group of about 50 students.
Topics ranged from the governor’s support for using
some of the recent surge in tax revenue to pay down the state’s debt to
state university fees and health care.

The event was held in one of the first-floor lecture rooms
in Mariposa Hall. Students in attendance included undergraduate and graduate-level
communication studies majors, as well student orientation leaders.
Following a brief speech by the governor, a number of the students were able
to ask questions. Many of the questions focused on the challenges of paying
for higher education.
The visit was covered by about 20 media outlets from throughout the state.
