Roseville to be first site for new
Sacramento State executive MBA
Sacramento State is taking another step toward a full-time
presence in Placer County. The University’s brand-new MBA for executives
program, the EMBA, will welcome its first class on the grounds of PRIDE Industries
in Roseville this September.
In addition to plans for a future Placer Campus, the University has been expanding
its academic programs in the area by offering bachelor’s degrees in selected
subjects at Sierra College.
The PRIDE-based offerings are the first in a series of planned off-campus, community-specific
classes to make it easier for working professionals to obtain an MBA. Other
potential sites are in Folsom, Rancho Cordova and Sacramento.
Applications are being accepted for the program’s late-September launch.
A series of one-hour information sessions for potential students will be held
at:
5:30 p.m., Thursday,
July 7 and noon, Monday, July 11 at Pride Industries
8:30 a.m., Tuesday,
July 12 at Vision Service Plan in Rancho Cordova
5:30 p.m.,
Wednesday, July 13 at SACTO in Sacramento.
The courses will be taught by professors from the University’s
College of Business Administration, area executives and professionals, with
guest lecturers to provide real-world perspectives and networking opportunities.
Taking Friday evening and Saturday classes, students will complete coursework
in 12 months.
The cost for the EMBA program is $25,000, which includes textbooks, course materials,
supplies and meals. Financial aid is available.
Registration information can be found at cbaweb.csus.edu/emba.
