Sacramento State will offer a series of free concerts this
summer featuring participants in the ChicoSac Chamber Music Workshop. These
concerts will be held at 4 and 6:30 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 3
p.m. Wednesdays, and 4 p.m. Fridays, July 25 to 29 and July 31 to August 4
in room 151 of Capistrano Hall.
Approximately six dozen students and several local amateurs will rehearse in
groups each day as part of the workshop program and perform in different groups
each show. Ensembles will be comprised of wind, string and piano performers
and will range from teens to seniors. The two one-week workshops will be coached
by some of Northern California's most prominent chamber musicians, along with
several members of the Sacramento State faculty.
This is the third year the musical workshop has been held at Sacramento State
campus since moving from CSU Chico in 2003.
