View
Live Webcast
California State University, Sacramento
and the Center for Advanced Technology at Syracuse University
will be broadcasting round-the-clock, the first broadcast
quality streaming video of the Junior Olympics when Hornet
Stadium plays host to the 2001 National Track and Field Championships
July 24 - 29.
Minimum viewing requirements for the webcast are a cable modem,
DSL, T1 or ethernet in addition to Internet Explorer 5.0 and
Windows Media Player 6.4 or higher.
Since 1998 graduate students at the Center have been using
the latest technologies in streaming video to webcast track
and field events around the globe. Most recently, students
have completed the first streaming coverage of a national
championship, an overseas track meet and the 2000 U.S. Olympic
Track and Field Trials, which were held at CSUS last July.
The Junior Olympics will feature an estimated 6,500 participants
ranging in age from 8 to 18 and every event during the six
days of competition will be available through the University's
website at www.csus.edu.
