CSUS
restricting applications for spring 2004
With
heavy budget cuts of about 13 percent to the California State University
system, CSU Sacramento is accepting applications for the spring
2004 semester through the end of August, but only for upper division
transfers and education credential students. Other categories of
students will need to apply for fall, 2004.
Graduate
programs have different deadlines. Visit the graduate studies office
website at www.csus.edu/gradstudies
for a listing of deadlines for graduate programs.
With high enrollment and a tight budget, the University will not
offer an extended deadline beyond the CSU system’s August
priority filing period for spring semester. Many other CSU campuses
are also limiting or cutting off admissions for the upcoming spring.
It is
also possible CSUS will not be able to accept all qualified applicants
who apply in August. The University is working hard to accommodate
as many applicants as possible, but is under strict enrollment growth
limits because of this year’s budget cuts.
Students
who are not admitted for spring can still apply for next fall. The
priority filing period for fall 2004 admissions to all CSU campuses
is Oct. 1 through Nov. 30.
