Progressive candidates forum at CSUS
Recall
election candidates representing various progressive political parties will
participate in a faculty-sponsored event at California State University, Sacramento
from 7 to 10 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 7 in the University Union Ballroom.
The “Progressive Election Forum” will feature Green Party gubernatorial
candidate Peter Camejo and Peace and Freedom Party candidate C.T. Weber. Speakers
opposed to Proposition 54 - which seeks to prohibit public agencies, schools
and employers from collecting and maintaining data on race and ethnic origin
- will also participate in the forum.
The event is free and open to the public. Speakers will also field questions
from the audience.
A separate election event, a gubernatorial debate of leading candidates co-sponsored
by CSUS and the California Broadcasters Association, will be held at CSUS on
Sept. 24.
