Health speakers featured at Life Center
A
series of free Friday afternoon speaker forums are offered again this fall at
California State University, Sacramento’s Life Center. All forums will
be held 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the historic Julia Morgan House at 3731 T St.
Forums include:
- “Undiet:
Painless Baby Steps to Permanent Weight Loss,” small changes that add
up to significant weight loss, presented by Bronwyn Schweigerdt, a dietician
and instructor at Sacramento City College, Sept. 12.
- “Exercise
Prescription for the Older Individual,” exercise programs to slow or
reverse the effects of aging, presented by Rafael Escamilla, physical therapy
professor at CSUS, Oct. 10.
- “Improve
Your Eyesight Naturally,” simple eye exercises that improve near and
far-sightedness, astigmatism and other eye conditions, presented by Marie
Wilson, a massage therapist at the Life Enrichment Center, Nov. 14.
- “The
Importance of Wellness,” presented by Kathy Martinez, an instructor
with the recreation and leisure department at CSUS, Dec. 12.
