State raising funds for newest students – those displaced by Katrina Sacramento
State President Alexander Gonzalez announced today that the University has
set up a special scholarship to assist students who recently enrolled here
after Hurricane Katrina forced from them from their universities on the
Gulf Coast.

1, 2005) – In an effort to assist college students displaced by Hurricane
Katrina, the California State University this fall will admit students from
Gulf Coast area colleges, as well as California students who had planned
to attend a college in that region.
