“Mad TV” star and juggling performers entertain on campus
Comedian Bobby Lee of “Mad TV” and juggling performers Team Rootberry
will bring their distinctive brands of humor to Sacramento State for a free
outdoor comedy show.
The event, co-sponsored by Sacramento State’s UNIQUE Programs and Multicultural
Center, will be held on Thursday, September 14, from 8 to 10 p.m. in the University
Union Serna Plaza.
Lee, a stand-up comedian who continues to bring his unique mannerisms and eccentric
characters in his fifth season on “Mad TV,” has worked the comedy
circuit for more than ten years. Lee began in comedy clubs and eventually gained
fame after TV appearances on “Premium Blend” and “The Tonight
Show.” He also made a memorable appearance in the 2004 big-screen comedy
Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle.
Team Rootberry’s unique act incorporates more than standard bowling pin-juggling.
Their performances include sword swallowing while juggling saw blades, a whip-versus-toilet
paper contest, and juggling flaming chainsaws. All impart an original comedy
element while shattering the perception of what a juggling act is.
