Public meeting set for Folsom widening project
The city of Sacramento
will hold a public meeting about the Folsom Boulevard Widening and Ramona Avenue
Extension Project from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 22 in the Alumni
Center.
The project is intended to improve traffic flow and make the area more accessible
for pedestrians and bicyclists. It involves widening Folsom Blvd. from two to
four lanes, changes to Ramona Ave., improving various intersections and connections,
landscaping, adding sidewalks and bicycle lanes, and more.
The preliminary studies will be completed this winter and an environmental impact
report should be done by fall 2006. Work is expected to begin in summer 2008,
if funding is available.
Members of the project team will be on hand for the meeting, which is designed
to gather public input while sharing information.
