Dragon acrobats swing a thrilling show at CSUS
The
world famous Chinese Golden Dragon Acrobats will present a
matinee show of their breathtaking skills and spellbinding
beauty at 3 p.m., Sunday, October 14 in the California State
University, Sacramento University Union Ballroom.
"There is precision and beauty about everything these
performers do," said the Washington Post and the
Dallas Times-Herald wrote, "Good old fashion razzle-dazzle,
ripples of amazement all the way to the back row of the audience,
now that's entertainment."
For more than 27 centuries, Chinese acrobats have been thrilling
audiences around the world - making it the longest running
folk art form in history.
The Chinese Golden Acrobats represent the best of this revered
tradition, blending award-winning acrobatics, traditional
dance and spectacular costumes as well as ancient and modern
theatrical techniques.
The group's dedication to the art form has brought the company
around the world to more than 65 countries on five continents,
including performances at such prestigious venues as the Kennedy
Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., Germany's
Elspe Festival and the Brooklyn Academy of Music.
