Jesse Jackson to visit CSUS

Jackson is scheduled to visit California State University, Sacramento Thursday,
Oct. 2 at noon in Serna Plaza.

The theme of his
current tour is “Keep Hope Alive! Campus Tour 2003.” It is expected
that among his topics will be opposition to Prop. 54.
Jackson is a well-known political figure who has run twice for president. Over
the past three decades, he has played a leading role in the civil rights movement
as well as advocating for other social justice issues. He has been called the
“conscience of the nation.” He is an author and the founder of the
National Rainbow Coalition, of which he is president.
