New computer class for seniors offered at Life
Center
Because it's never to late to pick up
new skills, California State University, Sacramento's Life
Center is offering a pair of classes to help seniors conquer
the computer and discover the ancient ritual of tai chi.
For the first time, the Life Center will hold a "Basic
Computer Fundamentals" course. The class, taught by seniors
for seniors, will be held on Thursdays beginning Nov. 8. Classes
are from 9 to 11 a.m. followed by an open computer lab, where
class members can practice what they've learned, from 11 a.m.
to noon. The cost for the four-week class is $20.
Tai chi classes are offered on an ongoing basis from 1:30
to 3 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays. The cost is $20 a month.
All classes take place in the University's Julia Morgan House
at 3731 T St. in Sacramento.
