Campus sets out welcome mat for Homecoming Open House

Homecoming
California State University, Sacramento wraps up an exciting week of Homecoming
activities with an open house for the community, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday,
Oct. 9. Highlights include hands-on science exhibits, concerts, tours, art shows,
“classes without quizzes” and a football matchup with Portland State
and much more.

Open House schedule
Walk the CSUS Mile, campus tour by the College of Health and
Human Services,
9-10a.m., University Union Information Desk. Registration required at 278-7255.
Campus Master Plan Presentation, 10-11 a.m., University Union
California Suite. Registration required at 278-7255.
College of Health and Human Services luncheon, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.,
University Redwood Room, $20. Registration required at 278-7255.
College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics reception for students,
parents, alumni, faculty, emeritus faculty, staff, 11 a.m.-2 p.m., Sequoia Hall
Patio.
Tours of College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics facilities,
includes solar telescoping viewing, anechoic chamber, greenhouse, biology vertebrate
museum, equipment support center, microscope lab, faculty laboratories, geology,
Geographic Information Systems, paleo-ecology, geophysical and hydrological
equipment demonstration, student clubs and student and faculty research posters,
11 a.m.-2 p.m. Sequoia and Placer halls.
