Pauly Shore does stand-up show
Pauly Shore, star of the '90s films Biodome and Encino Man, gets back to his performing roots in a stand-up comedy routine at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 19 in the University Union Ballroom.
Shore currently stars in the reality TV series "Minding the Store" on TBS, which follows him as he manages one of the hottest comedy clubs in Los Angeles, The Comedy Store on Sunset Blvd. Owned by Shore's mother, the club is where Shore got his first break in the entertainment industry.
The self-proclaimed "Weasel" first gained national attention in 1990 with his MTV show "Totally Pauly." His "stoner" persona, frizzy hair and grungy clothing gained wide appeal among Generation X, leading to a slew of movies, including Son-In-Law and In the Army Now. Shore also starred in, wrote and recently released the semi-autobiographical movie Pauly Shore Is Dead.
