California State
University, Sacramento’s anthropology museum has opened its first exhibit
for the fall semester. “The Art of Farming: Photographs from Fieldwork
in the United States and France” runs until Oct. 31.

The museum is open
11 a.m. until 2 p.m., Tuesday- Friday. Other hours are available by appointment.
The museum is located on the first floor of Mendocino Hall. Admission is free.
The photos, taken by anthropology professor Valerie Wheeler, are accompanied
by antique farm tools and scale models on loan from the Heidrick Agricultural
History Center in Woodland. Wheeler, who teaches classes on cultural diversity
and the history of anthropology, traveled the United States and France researching
the changes in organic farming.
