Pirate ship docks at Sac State for Halloween
With Halloween approaching, Sacramento State will be presenting its 3rd annual Pirate Ship Spooktacular. The University's Peak Adventures Challenge Center will be transformed into a terrifying ghost ship complete with cable-walking, rope-swinging and rock climbing on the "barnacle wall."
Pirates big and small can brave the haunted galley, walk the plank or scale the rigging up to the towering crow's nest. The event will also feature carnival booths with games and prizes for trick-or-treaters of all ages. Frightening fun for the whole family will run from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 28 and Saturday, Oct. 29 at the Challenge Center near Yosemite Hall. Tickets are $5 general and $2 for Sacramento State students and are available at the door. Parking will be available in Lot 1, adjacent to Yosemite Hall.
Due to the popularity of the event in past years, Peak Adventures is aiming to make this year's pirate ship the scariest yet. The organization is accepting donations of construction supplies, carnival materials, and Halloween candy. To arrange a donation, e-mail Peak Adventures at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The event is being sponsored by Sacramento State's Peak Adventures, Recreational Sports and KSSU radio station.
