Police Seek Shooting Suspect
Campus police at California State University, Sacramento are asking the public for help in identifying a motorcyclist who fired shots Wednesday evening in a parking lot on campus.
The suspect is described as a heavyset white male, approximately 30 years old, with a blonde mustache. He was wearing a light blue helmet and a vest or flannel shirt over a t-shirt. He rode away on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
Police say the man shouted obscenities and then fired shots at a student at about 8 p.m. in a parking lot near Hornet Stadium. The student was not hit, and police recovered a spent cartridge and other evidence at the scene.
The University offers a night shuttle service available to all students, staff and faculty. The service runs Monday through Thursday until 11 p.m.
