Sacramento sheriff’s Detective Vu Nguyen
On behalf of the University, President Alexander Gonzalez wishes to extend condolences to the family of Sacramento sheriff’s Detective Vu Nguyen, who was an alumnus of Sacramento State.
Nguyen, who was 37, was killed in action Wednesday, Dec. 19. He was a 1995 graduate of Sacramento State, receiving a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. He also was a member of Sigma Pi fraternity.
We offer our sympathies to Nguyen’s family, friends and co-workers.
