be on hand as well. Attendees can also spend the day listening to live music,
poetry and other entertainment.
A group designed to raise awareness of the need for recycling will present a

The first Earth Day was celebrated in April 1970 when nearly 20 million Americans
participated in environmental rallies, demonstrations and other activities,
precipitating the movement for national legislation including the Clean Air
and Clean Water Acts. Past Earth Day festivals at CSUS have drawn 10,000 people
to campus.
