Sacramento State’s History Department presents “Russian-American Relations in the Age of Trump: Is It Really So Bad?” – a panel discussion from noon to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, in the Global Lounge, Library 1000.

Moderated by Sacramento State History Professor Aaron Cohen, the panel comprises Political Science Professor Peter Davies; and Alexander Yur’evich Petrov, senior research fellow, Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow.

It’s one of two forums this month focusing on recent events. On Friday, Oct. 27, the History Department will present “Charlottesville and Beyond: Why Are Historical Monuments Controversial?” from noon to 1:30 p.m. in Mendocino Hall 1003.

That discussion will be moderated by American Women’s History Professor Rebecca Kluchin with panelists African American History Professor Paula Austin, Public History Professor Anne Lindsay, and Native American History Professor Khal Schneider.

Both discussions are free and open to the public.
