Free Spotlight on the Stars

Expand your planetary horizons with stellar views at California State University, Sacramento's observatory. The CSUS departments of physics and astronomy are sponsoring "Public Nights" from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., Friday, Nov. 3 and, Friday Dec. 1.

The 45-minute lectures, followed by observations of the night sky, are free and designed for an all-ages audience. The talks will be in Amador Hall room 153 and the observatory is located on the roof of the hall.

"They Came From Outer Space: The Story of Meteorites" is the focus for Nov. 3 and "The Christmas Star: Fact or Fiction" is the theme for Dec. 1.
