CSUS Stages Cat on a Hot Tin Roof

Opening night for Tennessee Williams' Cat on a Hot Tin Roof will be at 8 p.m. in the California State University, Sacramento Playwright's Theatre, Thursday, Oct. 12.

Performances will continue at 8 p.m. Oct. 13-15 and 19-21. A Sunday matinee will be at 2 p.m., Oct. 22.

The play is a Pulitzer Prize-winning drama, directed by Paul R. Waldo, about a dysfunctional family forced to deal with deceptions and hypocrisy. The play also received the Drama Critics Award. It explores the passions and triumphs of a wealthy Southern family, whose lives have been stripped of pretense in a moment of revelation.
