Of Ghana Peace Trip

Students from California State University, Sacramento and area high schools will describe their summer trip to Ghana, West Africa from noon to 2 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 25 in the University Union Redwood Room.

The trip was part of the Ghana Youth Peace program, which sent five CSUS students and five high schools students on a cross-cultural trip to Ghana. They also learned conflict resolution skills.

The students will talk about their experiences in Ghana and show slides and video from the trip.

The Ghana Youth Peace program was developed by the CSUS Center for African Peace and Conflict Resolution to offer a life-changing personal, cultural and peace-building experience for participants.

More information is available by calling CSUS professor Ernest Uwazie at (916) 278-6282.
