Jerry
Reynolds for breakfast
The
Alumni Association kicks off its 2006-07 Breakfast Club series
on Tuesday, Oct. 3 with a familiar voice. Jerry Reynolds, best
known as the TV voice of the Sacramento Kings, will be the guest
speaker at the Homecoming week breakfast at the Alumni Center.
Breakfast
starts promptly at 7:30 a.m. and concludes at 9 a.m. This event
is free to Alumni Association members plus one guest, and $10 for
non-members. Reservations are required and seats are limited.

Homecoming Festival
Join
the Sacramento State Alumni Association Saturday, Oct. 7 from 3
to 6 p.m. for this Homecoming 2006 event. The entire community is
invited. The fun will be in and around the Alumni Center, located
on the south side of campus next to Hornet Stadium. There will be
food, live music and dance performances, and a 'Kidz Zone' with
games, a jump house and face painting. Outside the Alumni Center
the Alumni Village will feature chapter groups, Colleges and departments,
and local vendors.
Are you an alumnus of the class of 1956, 1981,
1986 or 1996? This is your year. Let the Alumni Association know
you are coming to the Festival to receive a gift and special Homecoming

some business classes close to home. The new offerings at the Sierra
College Roseville Gateway Center begin in the fall.

Volleyball the preseason favorite
After winning last year’s Big Sky Conference regular season and tournament championships, the Sacramento State volleyball team was a unanimous choice to win this year’s title in the league’s preseason coaches’ poll—the fourth time in five years Sacramento State was selected the preseason favorite.

Annual golf tourney
The annual Stingers’ Homecoming Golf Classic will take place on Friday, Sept. 29 at the Woodcreek Gold Course in Roseville, Calif. The tournament is hosted by the Stinger Athletic Association, which is the primary fundraising arm for the Sacramento State Athletics Department.
