We want your news
The news services office publicizes campus activities using a variety of on-campus resources and by seeking media coverage. Of course, Sacramento State is a big, creative place, so it's difficult to keep track of all that's happening. We depend on the campus community to submit information to us about projects, studies, events, accomplishments, etc. We even need to hear quickly about negative developments -- if the University expects the media to be there for it in good times, reporters need the University to work with them in bad times.

News submission
Use the form below to send us your news tips, public events information, research findings and other news items. You can also use it to send items such as professional activities and announcements for the Sacramento State Bulletin, the weekly newsletter for faculty and staff.

When you submit an item we will open a file and may contact you for additional details. There is no need for you to write the article or news release -- public affairs staff will handle it. We will also work with you to make sure the message is accurate. Submitting information to us earlier is always better.

You only have to submit items once. We will determine the most effective and appropriate strategies to publicize it. For instance, some events are featured in the Sacramento State Bulletin or sent as news releases to the media.

Note that when we send an item as a news release, we have no control over how the media will use the information.

For more, call (916) 278-6156 or e-mail infodesk@csus.edu.
